There are around 1,600-1,700 pension funds and pension schemes throughout Switzerland. Communication and coordination is of course a major challenge, which we are successfully overcoming.

​The widow's pension from the pension fund is between 60 and 70% of the old-age pension that was paid to the deceased husband. The pension fund only contacts the surviving relatives in very few cases. For this reason, it makes sense to inform the pension fund about your life partner while you are still alive. This way, she can receive the widow's pension to which she is entitled and/or the pension left behind for any children she has.
